Dalco Kelp Forest Canopy Delineation by kayak

Join us at Dalco Kelp Forest Canopy Delineation by kayak and help with our ongoing community science research on our local kelp forests. This survey takes place August 13th from 9:00 am- 2:00 pm. We will meet at the Tahlequah Ferry Parking lot. From there, we will kayak along the shoreline approximately ½ mile to reach our research site. 

Participants will assist VNC with research on natural kelp forests by kayak. Kayaking experience is required. You will be paired with a VNC staff member trained in all research protocols. Bring your lunch, water, and what you need to be comfortable on the beach for a few hours. If participants are able, we request they also bring their own kayaks, paddle, PFD or let VNC know or let us know and we can provide you with the equipment for the day.
