Low Tide Celebration – 18th Annual

Join our community partners and us for the 18th Annual Low Tide Celebration at beautiful Pt Robinson Park and Lighthouse. This free, family-friendly event invites you to explore the shoreline during one of the lowest daytime tides of the year at the longest-running low tide event in all of Puget Sound!

Talk to the volunteer beach naturalists to learn and appreciate the diversity of life adapted to life in the intertidal zone. Visit the lighthouse. Join the traditional Coast Salish protocol of song to welcome the Blue Heron Canoe as it lands on our shores after paddling across the Sound. Enjoy delicious food. Check out the shoreside booths with activities and information about how to protect our shared marine resources.

Come for the day. Leave with a lifetime of memories!

We remind you to use your best beach behavior when visiting shorelines this summer! Touch animals gently with a wet finger, leave animals in their place, walk around eelgrass and seaweeds that provide harbor for many crveatures until the tide returns, and avoid turning over rocks larger than your head and always return them in the exact way you found them.
