Naturalist Workshops: Mushroom Walk

Join us for another Mushroom Walk Naturalist Workshop on November 8th, 2025 at 11 am at Frog Holler Forest with local mycologist Hannah Morosoff.

About Hannah: “I am lifelong islander and nature wanderer and Mycology Naturalist Hannah Morosoff. I have been practicing Mycology here for over a decade now and observing mushrooms of Vashon Island since childhood! I have been leading mushroom walks and tours for 3 years now, teaching all of our community members from preschoolers to seniors! In December of 2023, I went from hiking 2-10 miles daily doing field identification and classification, to in the ICU incapable of walking. I now use a wheelchair and cane to get around and am taking the necessary baby steps to get back out there routinely again! While it has been and will be a long road facing Small Fiber Neuropathy, Fibromyalgia, and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, I am a very determined person and have a wonderful community behind me”
