Volunteer in Heron Meadow with Adria

Join Adria Magrath, VNC’s Heron Meadow Steward, every Wednesday from 9:30am-11:30am for general Heron Meadow upkeep and maintenance work. Tasks vary according to weather and inclination, and tools and gloves will be provided! Show up and sign in at the meadow during the work period. 

Volunteers will be removing invasive species, particularly the alkanet in the SW corner of the meadow, preventing the reed canary grass from overtaking certain areas, and weeding out western buttercup and grasses from the native wildflower area. Trail maintenance is also always an ongoing project for meadow maintenance.
