April 4th Seabird Survey

Join us in collecting data at Fern Cove on wintering seabirds for a long-term monitoring site in the Puget Sound Seabird Survey. This data will establish baseline conditions for Fern Cove bird populations for the first time. In addition to submitting data to this Puget Soundwide effort we will also be taking baseline data on Fern Cove bird and mammal occurrences both in Fern Cove and in the area of a proposed kelp farm so that we can establish a baseline to compare changes if the farm goes in. Surveys happen on the first Saturday of every month from October-April.
