Science & Art of Tramp Harbor: Shoot to Show

Join us in an exploration of Vashon’s Tramp Harbor and support the Parks Foundation rebuild of the pier in the process! Learn about wildlife above and below the water with Maria Metler from Vashon Nature Center. Take that knowledge on location in a group photo shoot with photographer Ray Pfortner, and study principles of composition to make compelling photographs. Then continue to shoot individually around Tramp Harbor for one month, sharing your results for feedback on flickr.com and in person. Class culminates in a show of student work. Open to all skill levels using any camera, phone to mirrorless.
