Fin to Feather: Naturalist Training Session 3 – Healthy Shorelines & Forage Fish
Sign up for our newest naturalist course, Fin to Feather, and discover Vashon Island’s diverse habitats from subtidal zones to the treetop canopy! Each session will focus on a unique ecosystem and highlight our role as responsible stewards of the natural world.
The course combines in-person experiential field trips with independent readings and activities. It will be led by Vashon Nature Center staff and expert naturalists and scientists from our community and the surrounding region. Teachers can also earn STEM clock hours by participating.

Gain an understanding of what goes on below the waterlines along island beaches. Learn about the importance of natural shorelines for marine food webs, and how humans can support healthy beaches.
