Calling Community Scientists. Join a VNC scientist on the beach. Monitor spawning habitat for forage fish, a critical link in the marine food web and a staple of the salmon’s diet. Collect sediment samples to research where these small fish spawn on island shorelines. No experience required! Interested individuals should be comfortable walking along the beach at night.
