Vashon Nature Center hosted the first ever Salish Sea Island Summit in March 2018. The summit opened avenues for communication between island conservation practitioners to examine commonalities in research, including an international listserv focused on biodiversity and conservation research on islands throughout the Salish Sea. We continue to pursue ways to integrate our work with what is happening on other islands and we proctor the Salish Sea Island Listserv.
